Smoky Mountains Bachelor 3-Day Itinerary
| Quick Summary | |
|---|---|
| Best for | Groups who want mountains, cabins, and a mix of adrenaline and downtime |
| Budget range | $350 to $650 per person for 3 days |
| Must-book | A group cabin with a hot tub, whitewater rafting, Anakeesta zipline |
Day 1: Settle In
Morning
Most groups fly into McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, about 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. Grab groceries and beer on the way in, since a cabin kitchen saves real money over three days of restaurant meals.
Afternoon
Check into the cabin and claim rooms. A cabin with a hot tub, game room, and a deck with mountain views runs the group a lot less per person than an equivalent number of hotel rooms.
Evening
Walk the Gatlinburg Strip for a moonshine tasting at Ole Smoky or Sugarlands Distilling, both of which pour flights right on Parkway. Head back to the cabin for a grill out and bonfire to close the night.
Day 2: Go Hard
Morning
Book a whitewater rafting trip on the Pigeon River, or if the group prefers dry land, a guided ATV ride through the mountains. Both run as half day trips, so plan to be back by early afternoon.
Afternoon
Head to Anakeesta for the treetop zipline course and mountain coaster, then ride the gondola up for the view before the light starts to change.
Evening
Grab dinner in Pigeon Forge, then either catch Dolly Parton's Stampede dinner show or hit the go-karts and mini golf along the Parkway if the group wants something more low key.
Day 3: Wind Down and Head Out
Morning
Drive into Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a shorter hike. Laurel Falls and Rainbow Falls are both popular options that do not require a full day.
Afternoon
Book a session at The Escape Game Pigeon Forge if there is time before checkout, it is a good group activity that does not require anyone to be outdoors or hungover-proof.
Evening
Head back to TYS for evening flights, or extend the trip a night if the group wants a full rest day before flying home.
