Why Miami for a Bachelorette?

Miami is one of the few cities in the US that genuinely delivers on all fronts: a world-class beach, a legitimate nightlife scene, outstanding food across multiple neighborhoods, and a visual energy that makes everything feel more fun. It is also accessible, with direct flights from most major US cities averaging $150 to $350 round trip.

The city rewards groups who plan ahead. The best restaurants require reservations weeks in advance, clubs run bottle service minimums, and the most desirable hotel pool daybeds sell out on weekends. Do the legwork early and Miami will exceed every expectation.

Day 1: Arrive, Beach, and a Big Dinner

Arrival and Afternoon

Fly into Miami International (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale (FLL). MIA is closer to South Beach (roughly 25 minutes). Check into your hotel and head straight to South Beach. Secure a row of lounge chairs on the beach, which typically run $20 to $30 per chair per day from the attendants along the shore.

Spend the afternoon on the beach with drinks from one of the vendors or a nearby hotel bar. The stretch of beach between 10th and 14th Streets on Ocean Drive is the most lively and photogenic. Bring portable speakers, sunscreen, and your group's custom cups.

Evening

Dinner at Carbone Miami in South Beach. This is the bachelorette dinner spot in Miami. Expect to spend $100 to $150 per person before drinks. Reservations open 30 days in advance on Resy and fill within hours. Set a reminder and book the day slots open. Order the spicy rigatoni ($38) and the tableside Caesar ($28).

If Carbone is not available, Komodo in Brickell is an excellent alternative. It is a 3-floor Asian fusion restaurant with a nightclub vibe, excellent cocktails, and mains running $35 to $75. Reservations also fill fast but are slightly easier to secure.

Night

Start the night out with drinks at a rooftop bar. Sugar at the EAST Miami hotel in Brickell has one of the best views in the city and a lively cocktail scene without a cover charge. Then head to a club: LIV at the Fontainebleau is the premier nightclub in Miami and one of the most well-known clubs in the US. Table minimums start at $1,000 to $3,000 for a Saturday night. If that is outside the group's budget, the general admission line is an option but expect a wait and a cover of $30 to $50.

Day 2: Wynwood, Pool Day, and a Club Night

Morning

Brunch at Alter in Wynwood ($45 to $65 per person) for a more elevated start to the day, or grab a casual brunch at Wynwood Kitchen and Bar ($25 to $40 per person) if you want a more relaxed vibe. Both are within walking distance of the Wynwood Walls.

Late Morning

Walk the Wynwood Walls, one of the most photographed spots in Miami. Entry is $12 per person for the main museum garden. The surrounding streets are free and lined with murals from internationally recognized artists. Budget 1.5 to 2 hours here for photos and exploring. Most galleries and boutiques in Wynwood open by 11am.

Afternoon

Head back to your hotel for a pool afternoon. If your hotel does not have a strong pool scene, consider a daybed reservation at the Faena Hotel pool or the 1 Hotel South Beach rooftop pool. Daybed reservations typically come with a food and beverage minimum of $200 to $400 per bed and usually fit 2 to 3 guests. Book these online 1 to 2 weeks in advance.

Evening

Dinner at a South Beach restaurant before heading out. Swan on Collins Avenue has a great bachelorette vibe with a beautiful outdoor patio and a menu of elevated American dishes ($35 to $70 per person). Alternatively, Mila on Lincoln Road offers Mediterranean cuisine in a stunning rooftop setting ($50 to $90 per person).

Night

Tonight is the big club night. Story on Washington Avenue is a massive club with top international DJs and a more accessible vibe than LIV. Table minimums start at $750 to $1,500 on Saturdays. Space Miami on 11th Street is the underground option for groups who prefer house and techno over hip-hop and pop. Cover typically runs $30 to $50 at the door. Hire a car or rideshare for the evening so the group stays together.

Day 3: Little Havana, Brunch, and Departure

Morning

Start the final day in Little Havana. Head to Versailles Restaurant on Calle Ocho for a classic Cuban breakfast. Café con leche ($3), Cuban toast ($4), and a plate of eggs with ropa vieja ($14) is one of the best $20 meals you will have in Miami. Versailles is a genuine Miami institution, open since 1971, and not a tourist trap.

Late Morning

Walk Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street) through Little Havana. Stop at Maximo Gomez Park (also called Domino Park) to watch the locals play dominoes. Browse the cigar shops and pick up Cuban coffee to go from any of the ventanitas (walk-up windows) along the street. This is a totally different Miami than South Beach and worth the 20-minute drive.

Afternoon

Depending on flight times, either return to South Beach for a final hour of beach time or head straight to the airport. MIA is a large airport: budget 2 hours before your flight for domestic departures and 2.5 to 3 hours for international. Rideshare from South Beach to MIA runs $25 to $40 during normal traffic hours.

Where to Stay in Miami

1 Hotel South Beach: The top pick for bachelorette groups who want a combination of design, sustainability, a great pool, and direct beach access. Rooms start at $450 to $700 per night depending on season. The rooftop pool is one of the best in the city.

Faena Hotel Miami Beach: The most visually dramatic hotel in Miami. Gold interiors, a famous beach club, and a prime location at 32nd and Collins. Rooms start at $600 to $900 per night. Worth it for groups who want the full Miami spectacle.

The Betsy Hotel: A smaller, boutique property on Ocean Drive with a rooftop pool and a quieter, more curated vibe. Rooms start at $300 to $450 per night. Good for groups who want quality and location without the mega-resort scene.

Freehand Miami: The best budget option. A stylish hostel-hotel hybrid in Miami Beach with private rooms starting at $120 to $200 per night. The Broken Shaker cocktail bar on-site is one of the best bars in the city and draws a cool crowd.

Pro Tips

  • Book Carbone 30 days out on the dot. Set an alarm for the exact time reservations open (usually midnight or 10am Eastern). It is that popular and that hard to get.
  • Reach out to club promoters at least 2 weeks in advance if you want free or discounted entry. Bachelorette groups are desirable to promoters. Search for promoters on Instagram for LIV and Story specifically.
  • Avoid driving in Miami. Parking is expensive ($30 to $50 for a night out), valet is everywhere, and rideshare is cheap enough that having a designated driver is not worth the sacrifice. Budget $15 to $25 per person per night for rideshares within South Beach and Brickell.
  • Visit Wynwood on Saturday rather than Sunday. Most galleries have better hours and the street scene is more active on Saturdays.
  • Stay hydrated. Miami heat is deceptively intense, especially combined with alcohol and hours on the beach. Bring a large reusable water bottle and drink water between every round of drinks. Dehydration is the fastest way to end a night early.
