Why Miami Works for a Bachelor Weekend

Miami gives your group three things at once: beach days, serious nightlife, and food that actually holds up the next morning. You don't need a rental car if you book a place in South Beach or Brickell, since most of what you want is a short rideshare away.

This itinerary assumes a Friday arrival and Sunday departure, with a group of 8 to 12 guys splitting a house or a large condo.

Day 1: Arrival and First Night Out

Morning

Fly in and check into your rental. South Beach puts you closest to the nightlife, Brickell is quieter and closer to the marina if you're doing a fishing charter the next day. Either works, just confirm the address supports a group your size before you book.

Afternoon

Ease in with a pool day. If your rental doesn't have one, a day pass to a hotel pool bar or a beach club gets you sun, drinks, and music without committing to a full night out yet.

Evening

Start with dinner at Toro Toro in downtown Miami, a Pan-Latin steakhouse with a lively room that handles groups well. Order the churrasco steak and a round of the passion fruit mojitos to get the table warmed up.

After dinner, head to a club. LIV at the Fontainebleau is the classic choice for a bachelor group, with A-list DJs on the calendar most weekends. Book a table in advance if your group is over 8 people, walk-in cover and lines get long after midnight.

Day 2: Water and Recovery

Morning

Book a half-day deep sea fishing charter out of Haulover or Miami Beach Marina. Most charters run $600 to $900 for a boat that fits 6, so split it across the group. You're fishing for snapper, mahi, and if you're lucky, sailfish.

Afternoon

Grab lunch near the marina, then head back to the rental to recover before round two. A few hours by the pool with food delivery is the move here.

Evening

Dinner at Red The Steakhouse, which has been ranked among the top steakhouses in the country by Esquire and Forbes. The dry aged bone-in ribeye runs around $75 and is worth splitting a few among the table alongside individual cuts.

For the second night out, try Club Space if your group leans toward house and techno, or go back to bottle service territory at Story or E11EVEN if you want the bigger production. E11EVEN runs 24 hours, which matters if your group doesn't want the night to end at 4am.

Day 3: Slow Morning, Easy Exit

Morning

Brunch somewhere with air conditioning and bloody marys. Keep it casual, most groups are not moving fast on the last morning.

Afternoon

Pack up, grab a late lunch near the airport area, and head out. If anyone wants one more low key stop, a cigar lounge in Brickell is a good way to close out the trip without needing to do much else.

Budget Breakdown (Per Person, Group of 10)

CategoryEstimated Cost
Lodging (3 nights, split 10 ways)$180 to $300
Fishing charter (split 6 ways per boat)$100 to $150
Dinners (2 nights out)$150 to $220
Nightlife and bottle service$150 to $400
Transportation (rideshares)$40 to $70
Total$620 to $1,140

Planning Tips

  • Book club tables at least 3 to 4 weeks out, especially for a Saturday night at LIV or Story.
  • Confirm your rental allows the group size you're bringing. Miami has cracked down on short term rental party houses, and getting cancelled the week of your trip is a real risk if the listing wasn't upfront about occupancy.
  • Split the fishing charter and bottle service costs ahead of time through an app like Venmo or Splitwise so nobody is stuck fronting a few hundred dollars.
  • Summer in Miami means heat and afternoon storms. If you're planning this trip June through September, build in shaded downtime and keep an eye on the radar for the fishing charter.
