Who Needs a Thank You

Thank you notes after a bachelorette are short and sincere, not a chore. The bride thanks the planners, and the planners thank the guests who traveled and paid.

You do not need embossed stationery. A warm text or a simple card is enough, as long as it is personal and lands within a couple of weeks.

From the Bride to the Maid of Honor

This is the most important one. She organized, fronted money, and herded the group, so name something specific she did.

Template: "I still cannot believe the weekend you pulled off. The house, the dinner reservation, the little details, all of it. Thank you for making me feel so loved before the wedding. I could not have picked a better person to stand next to me."

From the Bride to the Group

One group message is fine here, but add a specific memory so it does not feel like a form letter.

Template: "Thank you all for flying in, taking the time off, and dancing until your feet hurt for me. That rooftop night is going in the memory bank forever. I love you all and cannot wait to see you at the wedding."

From the Maid of Honor to the Guests

If you planned it, thank the people who said yes, showed up, and paid their share on time.

Template: "Thank you for making this weekend so easy to plan and so fun to be part of. Getting everyone in one place is never simple, and you all showed up big for her. It meant the world."

For a Guest Who Went Above and Beyond

Someone always does extra, whether it is decorations, a playlist, or covering a gap in the budget. Call it out directly.

Template: "You went so far above what anyone asked. The welcome bags alone made the whole trip feel special. Thank you for being the person who always makes things better."

For a Gift or Contribution

If guests chipped in on a gift, a spa treatment, or the bride's share, name the gift and what it meant.

Template: "Thank you so much for the spa afternoon. It was the exact reset I needed, and doing it with all of you made it even better. I am so lucky to have you in my corner."

Timing and Format

Send within two weeks while the weekend is fresh. A groupchat message works for the whole crew, but a separate note to the planner and anyone who did extra goes a long way.

Keep each note to three or four sentences. Specific and short beats long and generic every time.

Quick Rules That Make Them Land

  • Name one specific thing the person did or gave.
  • Send within two weeks, even if it is just a text.
  • Give the planner and any big contributor their own note, not just the group thread.
  • Skip the apology for a late note if it is only slightly late, just send it.
