RIPTRIP PLANNING TIPS Bachelor Party GuestEtiquette: How to Be theGuy…
Quick Summary
Best forAnyone invited to a bachelor party who wants to do it right
The one rulePay on time, show up ready, and follow the best man''s lead
Biggest mistakeBeing late on money or too drunk too early

Say Yes or No Fast

The best man is booking houses and tables based on a headcount. Every day you sit on the invite makes his job harder and can push up everyone else's cost.

Give a firm yes or no within a few days. A clear no early is far better than a maybe that drags for three weeks.

Pay Your Share On Time

This is the single biggest thing that separates a good guest from a headache. When the organizer sends the amount and the deadline, pay it that day if you can.

He often fronts deposits on his own card. Making him chase you for money is the fastest way to not get invited to the next one.

Respect the Budget the Group Set

If the group agreed on a mid range trip, do not push for the most expensive everything and do not complain that it costs too much. The plan was set together.

If money is genuinely tight for you, tell the organizer privately and early. Do not air it in the group chat the week before.

Follow the Best Man's Lead

Someone has to run the show, and on this trip it is him. Show up to the things on the schedule, be ready on time, and do not try to hijack the plan with your own ideas mid weekend.

If you have a suggestion, offer it early and privately. Once the weekend starts, get on the bus.

Know Your Limits

Nobody remembers the guy who paced himself. Everybody remembers the guy who was done by 9 pm on the first night and had to be walked home.

Pace your drinking, eat real food, and drink water. You are here for the whole weekend, not just the first two hours.

Protect the Groom

The weekend is for him. Keep an eye on him, make sure he gets home safe, and do not put him in a situation that blows up his relationship.

What happens on the trip should stay something he is comfortable with his partner knowing about. Read the room and look out for him.

Handle Photos With Sense

Ask before you post, especially anything with the groom or anyone whose partner might not love it. A private group album is safer than a public tag.

When in doubt, do not post it. The trip is not content for your feed.

Chip In on the Work

The organizer did the planning. The least you can do is carry your weight during the trip: grab a round, drive a leg, make a food run, or handle the grill.

A trip runs smoother when nobody has to be asked twice to help.

Say Thank You

At the end, thank the best man for putting it together. It is a real amount of work and a little appreciation goes a long way.

Be the guy people are glad they invited, and you will always be on the list for the next one.
